September 5, 2020Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was called to order at 12:00pm, by conference call
Members in attendance:
Stephanie, Katie, Vivian, Chrissy, Minh, Daniel, Patrick, Corine, Ax, John,
Norman
Secretary report for August omitted Ax's name, he was in attendance and the
correction has been made.
Patrick motion to accept the report, Katie seconded and the motion passed.

Vivian motion to accept the report, Patrick seconded; the motion passed.
Katie said the one minute message. Stephanie challenges everyone to learn
it.
Presidential release
President Riccobono wants everyone to vote. You can go to your county
registrar to make sure you are registered.
In Oregon, there is also an accessible link. You can fill out your ballot,
print it out then sign it and mail it.
National Center has face masks for sale. You can call 1410-659-9314. There
is shipping.
Meet The Blind Month
Theme for meet the Blind Month is Lived Experiences .
The national president would like to have stories sent into the Monitor.
Corine suggested to have a proclamation signed by the mayor. The Governor
and mayors of Oregon have signed these in the passed.
White Cane day is October 15.
Patrick is now a contact tracer for C-19.
Stephanie passed the test and now has her license to be a Alcohol and Drug
counselor. She talk to Maurice, a blind man, about the NFB and blindness. He
is from Texas. she referred him to Norma Crosby, Texas President.
State Convention will be November 11-13, in Cottage Grove. Room rates are
69$ per night.
Due to C-19 the platform for state is uncertain. It could be in person or by
zoom, or both.
Stephanie will talk to the lions club to see if we could use it and connect
by zoom to Cottage Grove.
Elections are coming up and Cathy said she does not want to continue as
treasurer. Stephanie asked people to think about if they want to do the job.

Chrissy won the gift card.
