Minutes: November 7, 2020

Meeting was called to order at 12:00 by conference Call

Members in attendance:

Stephanie, Marv, Katie, Vivian, Chrissy, John, Minh, Daniel, Corine, Norman,
Ax, Patrick, donKatie said the one minute message.

The national Federation knows that blindness is not the characteristic that
defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind
people because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and
their dreams. You can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds
you back.

Secretary report:

 

Vivian reviewed the October minutes.

John Motion to pass the minutes, Patrick seconded, the minutes passed.

Treasurer's report:

Minh Turnbull's name has been put on the chapter Bank account. Corine
Vieville and Cathy Gerlitz names have been taken off the accounts.

Minh read the treasurer report.

Vivian motions to pass the report, Patrick seconded, the report passed.

Katie talked about the presidential release.

President Riccobono reminded us to vote.

There will be a survey on how your experience with accessible voting went.
You can find it at nfb.org

The Braille readers are leaders writing contest will start December 1.

As an organization NFB  raised 50,000 and freedom scientific matched.

State convention will be held by zoom. The information will be coming soon
on NFB announce.

There will be breakout sessions. Kevin Whirly will be our national rep.

Make sure you register, so you will be eligible for door prizes and to vote
at the board meeting. The executive board and two board positions are up for
nomination.

It was decided to get five $20  gift cards for state convention door prizes.
They will be for, Fred Myers, Amazon, Wal-Mart, I tunes and the nfb store.

Our Next meeting will be on December 5.

Ax won the gift card.
