Meeting minutes
January 6, 2024
Members in attendance: Stephanie, Katie, Vivian, John, Norm, Karine, Patrick, men, Daniel Secretaries report:
Vivian reviewed Decembers minutes. Patrick motion to accept a minute, John second hit it: the minutes were approved.
Treasurers report
Stephanie read the treasury port we have $270.38 in the checking account we have $56.49 in the savings account. This includes the six dollars for the pack plan. Membership dues need to be paid this month. Patrick motion to accept the report, Corinne second report was approved.
Vivian announced she will be moving to Texas in April. She encourages any want to stand up and take her place a secretary/treasurer. she thankedthe members for welcoming her into the chapter.
Wwashington seminar:
Stephanie will be attending Wwashington seminar from January 29 to February 1.
The bills we are presenting to the legislation: the tax credit bill for $2000 for accessible technology, The medical device accessibility act.
There will not be a member seminar this year. The board will be meeting instead.
National convention will be in Orlando Florida this year. If you would like financial assistance to attend, you need to email Carla. Your email should include why you want to go, what you expect to get out of it, what you will contributewill contribute to our affiliate and the convention while you’re there. Also, what have you done for our affiliate here in Oregon for the last year. Examples, fundraising, organizing events helping out at state convention in the member seminar last year. Email Carla at, president at nfb-oregon.org by April 1.
South Carolina host an audio. Describe movie once a month. You can go to their website for more information. We played the presidential release. If you’d like to listen to it again, you go to nfb.org/publications.
Our next meeting will be February 3 from 10 to 12.
