Southern Oregon Chapter

Meeting Minutes

February 6, 2021

Members in attendance:

Stephanie, Marv, Katie, Vivian, Minh, Daniel, Cathy, Corine, Norman,
Patrick, Chrissy, Lynette, John.

Vivian reviewed the minutes from January. Patrick motion to accept the
minutes John seconded the motion passed.

Minh review the Treasurers report. Checking account $494.08, this includes
$6 for the pac plan. Saving account: 351.43

Patrick motion to accept the report Katie seconded. The motion passed.

We are updating our membership list. If you want to continue getting
information about our chapter and affiliate and If you want to vote at
national convention this summer, Your dues needs to be paid by March
15,2021. It is $5 per year an $100 for life time membership.

Washington seminar is next week. We would like to have as many  members on
the zoom calls Even if you are not going to speak on an issue it looks good
if we can have members showing support. Our chapter has a meeting on
Wednesday at 10am with Congressmen Vent.

The issues we will be talking about are: accessible medical devices,
accessible voting, tax credit for accessible equipment and making web site
and apps for smart phones accessible.

 

Independent market has sales on canes and games.

President Riccobono  talked about the blind drivers challenge.

There is also a man making a Camaro accessible to drive and hopefully break
a speeding record.

President Riccobono is asking for people to send in their  lived experiences
for the braille monitor.

Lynnette won the gift card.

Our next meeting will be March 6.
