Southern Oregon Chapter

Meeting Minutes

January 2, 2021

Meeting was called to order at 12:00pm

Members in attendance:

Stephanie, Marv, Katie, Vivian, Cathy, Chrissy, John, Patrick,Corine, Mihn,
Daniel

Vivian reviewed the December minutes. Patrick motion to accept the minutes
Katie seconded the motion passed.

Minh  reviewed the treasurer's report: The checking account has 961.08The
saving account has, 359.02 Marv motion to accept the report John seconded.
The motion passed.

There was no presidential release as of yet.

The code of conduct has been updated.

If any member feels there has been a violation, they should contact Carla
at, 541-653-9153 or national.

Katie will be learning to use a we walk cane. It has GPS and works with an
app on the smart phone.

Patrick uses the we walk cane, he has good things to say about using the
cane.

Minh brought up the topic of how to talk to sighted people that are not
respecting our parental rights and abilities. 

With things like: a shoppers assist trying to parent her child. Taking
pictures of the children without permission and out right lying about taking
the pictures.

There was good advice from all members. Members offered help where needed to
support members in this area.

At his next meeting, Patrick will bring up the issues of traffic light and
the time it is taking to   fix things.

The next meeting will be held on February 6, 2021, at 12noon.

Cathy won the gift card.
