Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 12:00pm.

Members: Stephanie, Marv, Katie, Vivian, Cathy, Norman, Corine, ax, Patrick,
Chrissy, Minh, Daniel, don and John

Katie read the one minute message.

Vivian reviewed the September minutes.

John motion to accept the minutes Katie seconded and the motion passed.

Cathy read the treasurer report.

John motions to accept the report Marv seconded and the motion passed.

Presidential Release:

President Riccobono wants us to get out there and vote.

There are ride share coupons to help people get to and from voting sites.

There will be a voter access survey on the nfb.org web page, where you can
let them know how your voting process went.

There will be a zoom meeting for parents of blind children Tuesday, October
6th at 3pm et or Thursday 8th at 8pm Et.

Discuss technology barriers with virtual learning.

If you are a dues paid member and a parent of a blind child, Freedom
Scientific is offering a discount on software. You can go to the NFB  web
site for more details.

State Convention:

Convention will be held totally by zoom on November13- 15.

You need to register by October 20th to be able to vote in the elections.

The Lions Club will allow groups of no more than ten and you need to wear a
mask.

I wanted to share something about meet the blind month that I meant   to
share at the meeting.

I made a post on my local FB page, What's happening coos county and
introduced myself and gave them a brief bio on who Vivian is and a little
about blindness. I received some nice responses.

Elections

Katie asked for nominations for president.

Vivian nominates Stephanie there were no other nominations. Corine moved to
close nominations and Stephanie be elected  by acclamation.

Stephanie opens nominations for Treasurer.

Stephanie nominates Mihn, Vivian Seconded.

There were no other nominations.

Corine moved to close nominations and Mihn be elected by acclamation.

Our next meeting will be November 7 at 12 pm.

Don won the gift card.
