I have pasted the minutes from our April chapter meeting conference call. Please let me know if there are any corrections or changes by Friday.

Minutes April 18, 2020

 

                Kirk called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM. Members attending the conference call meeting were: Kirk & Cherri Wagner, Ryan McBee, Jerry Hathaway, Joyce Green, Carolyn Brock, and Mary Ann Mendez. We had one guest on the conference call who is Mary Ann Mendez husband Jack Mendez. Jerry Hathaway played the minutes from the March chapter meeting. Mary Ann Mendez made a motion to have the minutes approved as read with Carolyn Brock seconding the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. Joyce Green gave the Treasurer’s report for April with a beginning balance of $1,157.60 and the ending balance is $1,105.44. Carolyn Brock made a motion that the Treasurer’s report be approved with the adjusted balance to coincide with the bank balance with Jerry Hathaway seconding the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. Joyce then gave the Treasurer’s report for May with a beginning balance of $1,105.44 and an ending balance of $1,173.44. Jerry Hathaway made a motion to have the May Treasurer’s report be approved as read with Carolyn Brock seconding the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. Kirk explained that the National convention will not be held in Houston due to changes brought on by the effects of the virus. National convention will be held as much as possible through virtual methods. One idea that the Oregon affiliate if possible to meet as group to listen to National Convention in July. More information about how the details of how National convention will work will be given to us as the time gets close to July. We welcome Mary Ann Mendez as the newest member of the Rose City chapter. Joyce Green made a motion to have the July meeting be moved back to the third Saturday with Jerry Hathaway seconding the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. Kirk told us that State convention is still being planned for November 13-15 in Cottage Grove. Kirk explained that the gift card fund raiser is still being planned for state convention he has asked for a few members on the committee to finish planning the details dealing with the gift card fund raiser that will be held at state convention. Kirk mention about the Casey Eye expo that will be held in October and if it is still being held that we will have members to give out information at the expo. Kirk played the live April Presidential release. Kirk then adjourn the meeting.
