Announcing a Workshop for Blind and Low Vision Voters

Greetings

Oregon’s primary election is going to be on May 17, which is why The National Federation of the Blind of Oregon is proud to present a webinar on how to vote in Oregon as a blind person. If you would like to learn about the options in Oregon for blind people to vote, or if you just want to brush up in preparation for the two elections that are coming up quickly, we invite you to register for, and attend, this informative event, available to members and nonmembers.

Register now.

When: Sunday, May 1 from 6 PM to 7 PM
Where: zoom
Why: Though it may not seem like it, voting is 1 of the most important and foundational things that we do as federationists to move our policies forward. The message that you bring to your representatives during legislative seminars is much more powerful when they can verify that you are a regular voter. Access to the vote for blind people is still a work in progress, and though Oregon has come very far over the years, there can still be mishaps on election day.

If you have any questions about the webinar, voting or the registration form, email Justin (blindstein at gmail.com).

Best regards
