Dear Fellow Federationists:

Lauren Weber and Hannah Recht, reporters for Kaiser Health News, are working on an investigation into accessibility to the blind for covid websites and vaccine registrations. So far, they have found multiple instances where vaccine registration websites and covid information pages are inaccessible with screen readers -- a violation of the ADA. Have you or others in your state run across such problems? If so, please describe what you've encountered for Lauren Weber at laurenw at kff.org or call her at 314.703.5829 before Thursday, so she can best describe this national problem in its entirety. Please also copy our legal program coordinator, Valerie Yingling, at vyingling at nfb.org so that we are also collecting this information at the national office.

Warmly,

Chris
