Greetings,

I hope you are all well and keeping connected in these crazy times.

Since our National Convention will be held virtually this year, I thought we might make plans for some of us to get together in Oregon to stream the Convention as an affiliate, for those who are interested in such a thing.

I have made arrangements for a small group of us (no more than 25, unless the Governor changes this) to meet at the Phoenix Inn in Eugene for the General Sessions of the Convention. While the final agenda has not ben released, the President sent out a tentative agenda that looks something like this:

July 14: Seminar Day
July 15: Board Meeting and Resolutions
July 16: Opening Ceremonies of the National Convention begin with music at 3:30 Pacific time, with general sessions starting at 4.
July 17: 8:00 AM Meetings Begin General Sessions end at 7 PM
July 18: Sessions begin at 8 AM and banquet ends at 7 PM.

We would like to invite our members who were approved for financial assistance to convention to come for the General Sessions, beginning on Thursday afternoon, and ending with the Banquet on Saturday. We would offer to pay for your room and meals. Transportation would be the responsibility of the chapters or individuals intending to attend. There will be an opportunity for members who did not apply for National Convention assistance to attend, if there is space. We would also like to invite our Scholarship applicants, so they have an opportunity to meet our members and come to know the Federation first hand.

If you are interested in attending, please send an email to me no later than June 6th. We will assess the interest, and get back to everyone with more details. We will be asking that people come prepared with facial coverings. If you do not have one, let me know and I can make those arrangements.

The meeting room we would be using would allow us to social distance. Because the Convention times are based on the east coast time zone, we will be planning evening activities, such as games, philosophy discussions, and of course, we will have door prizes. What convention would be complete without door prizes!

Please let me know your thoughts as soon as possible. Even if you do not plabn to attend, let me know that, so I will not have to track you down to confirm.

Take Care! I am looking forward to the time when we can meet again!
