I am pasting the minutes from our December chapter meeting. Please take a
look at them and let me know if there any corrections, or changes, or if the
minutes look to you.

 

NFB of Oregon Rose City Chapter 

meeting minutes December 16, 2023

 

                                Kirk called the chapter meeting to order at
10:30 AM. Members attending the meeting in person were: Kirk Wagner, Tracy
Boyd, Joy Relton, Carolyn Brock, Cody Hemerling, and guest Desmond Boyd. On
the telephone Cherri Wagner, Jerry Hathaway, and Ryan McBee. Kirk asked
those attending the meeting for Introductions Icebreaker What was the most
memorable holiday gift you gave or received? Joy Relton made a motion to
have the November minutes approve as distributed with Tracy Boyd seconding
the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting.
Joy Relton gave the Treasurer's report with a beginning balance of $797.71
and the ending balance is $805.71. Tracy Boyd made a motion to approve the
Treasurer's report as read and Carolyn Brock seconded the motion and the
motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. Kirk informed
members that Joy and He will check on members who have paid on line and also
have sent checks for dues to Joy to make sure we have an accurate list of
members who have paid dues for 2024. Kirk also is working on getting the
money that was in the Portland Central checking account be taken care and
distributed to those members or to the chapter which it belongs and Tracy
Boyd says that she has the check and will give it to Kirk and Joy to have it
process to the proper individuals or put into the correct accounts. Kirk
told members about Trimet construction that will be affecting the Max on the
east side of Portland for the next two months and that might affect members
trying to get to our meeting for January and February. Kirk also informed
members that in case of weather conditions that might affect our in person
meeting that we still have a meeting on Zoom and Kirk will inform members if
a weather condition comes up and that the meeting will be on the Zoom
platform instead having the meeting in person and members will be informed
through the chapter list serve. Kirk asked the officers to give a brief
explanation about their office that they hold at this time. Kirk asked Ryan
McBee to conduct the election for the office of president. Kirk Wagner name
was nominated for office of president and Kirk Wagner was then elected
president by acclamation. Kirk then conducted the nominations for the rest
of the offices. Ryan McBee and Tracy Boyd names were placed in nomination
for the office of Vice-President, then Ryan McBee dropped out his name for
Vice-President and Tracy Boyd was then elected for Vice-President by
acclimation. Jerry Hathaway name was placed in nomination for Secretary and
then Jerry Hathaway was elected Secretary by acclimation. Joy Relton name
was placed in nomination for Treasurer and then Joy Relton was elected
Treasurer by acclimation. Desmond made a payment for his dues and became our
newest member. We then had the drawing for the 50-50 and the winner was Kirk
Wagner and he donated the money back to the chapter. Kirk played the
Presidential release for December. Kirk adjourned the chapter meeting.
