[Rose_City_Chapter] August chapter meeting minutes

I am pasting the minutes from our August chapter meeting.

NFB of Oregon Rose city Chapter
Minutes August  2023

			Kirk Wagner called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM. Members attending the meeting were: Kirk & Cherri Wagner, Ryan McBee, Jerry Hathaway, Joy Relton, Carolyn Brock, Marcie Knudson, and Tracy Boyd. Kirk asked members for an ice breaker to tell about their first pet. Carolyn Brock made a motion to have July chapter minutes be approve as distributed with Cherri Wagner seconding the motion and the motion was passed by members attending the meeting. Joy Relton gave the Treasurer’s report with a beginning balance of $833.71 and the ending balance is $821.71. Cherri Wagner made a motion to have Treasurer’s report approved as read with Carolyn brock seconding the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. There was a discussion about meeting in person at the Capital One Café located at 721 SW Morrison and it is on the corner of 7th Avenue and Morrison. Carolyn Brock made a motion for Kirk to reserve the Café to have in person meeting on September 16 from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM and to have conference call available for members who are not able to attend in person with Joy Relton seconding the motion and the motion was passed by members attending the meeting. Kirk said as soon as he find out about meeting at the Café in September he will let the chapter know by posting it on the listserve and also post prices of food items the Café offer to buy. We then had a Discussion of the Braille Monitor article “The Meaning of Independence” by Kenneth Jernigan found in the July, 2023 issue. Kirk did not play the Presidential release due to lack of time. Kirk adjourn the chapter meeting.
