Hi Jerry,
That looks really good to me.
Thank you so much for working through all of your barriers and producing such a nice set of minutes.
I truly wish you would not be stepping down because you’re you have been very valuable for this chapter.

My computer crashed and I had to get a new hard drive and get my information from my old hard drive restored onto the new hard drive. I am also having to learn a new e-mail program. I am pasting the proposed chapter minutes from the October meeting please take a look at them and tell me if there are any items that need to be added or changed or corrected. I am not running for secretary due to it is difficult for me to come in person to the chapter's new location.

Members attending the meeting in person were: Kirk Wagner, Joy Relton, Carolyn Brock, Alice Campbell, and Tracy Boyd, members attending by phone conference call were: Ryan McBee and Jerry Hathaway. Guests attending the meeting were: Cody Hemerling in person and Kathryn (Kat) Mclaurin on phone conference call. The icebreaker this month was to share your favorite holiday or national observance. There was a motion made and second to have the minutes approve from the August meeting and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. There was a motion and second that the minutes from the September meeting were tabled and Jerry make corrections and repost the minutes. Joy gave the Treasurer’s report for September beginning balance was $821.71 and the ending balance is $809.71. The beginning balance for October is $809.71 and the ending balance is $772.71. There was a motion and seconded to have the Treasurer’s report approve as read and the motion was passed by members attending the meeting. Joy reminded members that membership dues are due and can be paid in person, by mail, or online. Kirk mentioned the motion approved at the September meeting to increase membership dues from $5 to $5.50 if paid on the affiliate website to include debit/credit card processing. He said this practice was mentioned at a recent meeting of affiliate treasurers. The practice may not be legal in some states since we are non profits. Kirk said the additional $0.50 would not cover PayPal charge of $0.66 for $5 so the increase wouldn’t accomplish what it was intended to do. Also several have paid dues online at $5 so changing the fee while dues are being collected would not be fair to some. He said if chapter members want to increase dues across the board after dues are paid for 2024 we can certainly discuss it. Carolyn moved to change the amount of dues required on the website back to $5, Joy seconded the motion, motion passed by the members attending the meeting. Those who went to the state convention gave their experiences about state convention. Tracy let us know that she had invited several to our November meeting so we will probably need the larger conference space. Kirk played the Presidential release for October. Cody Hemerling brought up his efforts to help address accessibility to sidewalks in the downtown and northwest areas of Portland. This is a problem brought about by some homeless pitching tents and otherwise blocking sidewalks so blind and others do not have access to them. Joy started up a discussion of seemingly untrained dogs in grocery stores and other food related establishments that interfere with her dog. A few other members had similar examples to share. Meeting adjourned at 12:20 pm.
