NFB One Minute Message - The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

NFB Pledge - I pledge to participate actively in the efforts of the National Federation of the Blind to achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind; to support the policies and programs of the Federation; and to abide by its constitution.

>> Kirk called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM. Members attending the meeting were Kirk & Cherri Wagner, Ryan McBee, Jerry Hathaway, and Carolyn Brock. Guest attending the meeting is Tom Evans from Hanford, California. Kirk ask those attending the meting to express their favorite memory of a holiday season that they would like to share with the chapter. Carolyn Brock made a motion to have the November minutes approve with the amendment of the committee to start looking for a meeting location to have in person meetings again and the committee being comprised with the following members Kirk Wagner, Carolyn Brock, and Joy Relton with Cherri Wagner seconding the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. Cherri Wagner made a motion to have the Treasurer’s report be table and be given at the January meeting with Carolyn Brock seconding the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the motion. Kirk told us that he and Joy are working on getting the signature cards updated at the bank. Joy is working in getting in touch with members who have not paid dues for 2023 and will let the chapter know of her progress in getting member dues paid for 2023. Kirk inform the chapter that he did find a room at Portland State College for the Affiliate chapter reorganization meeting, but that it would not due for us to use at a meeting location due to the cost of a room at Portland State. Kirk played the Presidential release for December. Kirk will get in touch with Jerry Garafolo’s daughter to see how Jerry is doing from his surgery and send it to the chapter list. Kirk adjourned the meeting.
