Thank you! I went out to my new home yesterday with an O&M instructor. We are going to work to get an audible signal put in at the intersection at the entrance to our development because it is the intersection of TVA and Cornelias Pass Road which are pretty big and busy. In addition, there is construction going on across the street from the development and a turning lane off of TVA at that same corner. I will have to cross the street there to take the bus. Although, if I understand correctly, I will have to catch a bus on the same side of the street as our development to catch a bus to the Max. I am getting excited to learn the new systems but I’m still a little tentative about the light rail because it is very different from the Metro in Washington D.C.

You can also check the features called “trip planner “ on the TriMet website.  You can put in the addresses of a starting point and destination, and it will give you possible routes to take.

 The Blue Line goes all the way to Hillsboro end of the line and the Red line goes to Beaverton. At the present time the Red Line is being worked on in the Gateway area. I believe it won’t be done till next year.

The red MAX line goes to Hillsboro, but the blue line goes only as far as Beaverton. As for busses, have  you been on the TriMet website?  On the Transit Tracker phone number you might also be able to get good info, including talking to a real person.  It’s 503-238-RIDE.

TriMet is fantastic, and we’re so lucky to live here!
