I am pasting the minutes from our May chapter meeting. Please take a look at them and let me know if there any changes or corrections or they look good to you.

Minutes May 15, 2021

 

                Kirk called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM. Members attending the meeting were Kirk & Cherri Wagner, Ryan McBee, Jerry Hathaway, Joyce Green, Carolyn Brock, and Jack & Mary Ann Mendez. Kirk asked each member to say what songs or type of music they liked the best. Joyce Green made a motion to have the April minutes approved as distributed and the motion was seconded by Mary Ann Mendez and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. Joyce Green gave the Treasurer’s report with a beginning balance of $1,002.00 and the ending balance is $972.00. Jerry Hathaway made a motion to have the Treasurer’s report approved as read with Ryan McBee seconding the motion and the motion was passed by members attending the meeting. Kirk reminded members that registration for National convention will end at the end of May and if any members need help with registration he will be willing to help them to register for National convention. Joyce Green made a motion to send $50.00 for National convention door prize and Mary Ann Mendez second the motion and the motion was passed by the members attending the meeting. Kirk told us that state convention will be November12-14, 2021. Kirk played the Presidential release #505 dated May 3, 2021. Kirk asked Joyce when we will be able to resume meeting in person at Providence Hospital. We had a discussion about the Braille Monitor article “Walking While Blind in Manhattan During the Pandemic” by Peter Slatin March, 2021 issue. Kirk adjourned the meeting.
